Crawford, thank you for your service in the Navy. My husband is in the Air Force. Looking forward to getting to know you in the class. I think that your statement about all three of your boys being at UVA is false!! Sharon Hansen
Dear Crawford, It's great to have you in class again! I am looking forward to helping you develop an ISD project that will align with your current work. I definitely think you have a big happy family - but don't you have a daughter??
Thank you for your continued service to the Navy! It was great meeting you in the live classroom session, as well.
I believe you were an electronics technician in the Navy. I also believe that you are married with three sons and married for 25 years. I don't believe all three of yours boys go to UVA, because I watched another video you posted and you said two of them went there and one was in the military.
I find BYOD is an effective method of teaching. I'm curious to know what your stance is in using it for military applications. The military is stringent about its mobile device policies, particularly in connecting to its secure networks. Do you have any experience in using BYOD in your career?
Best wishes and good luck in class! I hope you earn your Master's degree on target.
Funny you should mention BYOD. My last semester was spent learning more about BYOD than I ever thought I could. As far as military training goes, I think that it has real potential in many of the skill based occupations in the form of augmented reality. I have seen applications where you could point the camera of the device at a piece of machinery and it would give you an exploded view of the machine and a variety of reference sources. The camera had some sort of built in recognition software that would recognize the device and correlate it to a database full of material.
Crawford let me first say thank you for your service in the Navy. I see that you have tons of knowledge and experience. I can't wait to learn from you and my classmates. Now let me guess about the 3 facts, hmmmmm. I would have to go with fact 2 that your sons went to UVA. Also, neat little fact about myself I played at GT so I'm not so fond of that sweatshirt, lol. Can't wait to hear back from you and have a great week. _ Avery Roberson

ReplyDeleteGT always gives VT fits on the football field. They seem to be pretty evenly matched on most occasions...........
